Hi everyone. I have managed to get all three Radians into bootloader mode and now cant get them out of it. Current version is listed up as 255:255 any help getting out of this would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks Andrew
Andrew if it's not too much trouble, would you be kind enough to change your user name to your real first name and last name, please? The reasons for this (and how to do do it) are explained here: http://forum.freeflysystems.com/index.php?threads/real-names.497/
Hi Andrew (btw good choice of name): See http://forum.freeflysystems.com/ind...ssue-serial-number-ffff-ffff.1221/#post-15482 The short answer is that I'm afraid you may have to contact your dealer -- you're not going to get the Bootloader to do an update unless it can read a serial number. Sorry about that....frustrating! Andy.
Hi Andy Thanks for your reply. In desperation I have connected the bootloader to each RADIAN and they all list a different serial number but the bootloader when trying to update the firmware now says Program failed (Program Error) :-(
Hi Andrew: Hmmm. So the Radian that was originally returning 255:255 is now returning a valid-looking serial number? That starts to sound like a problem with Windows, doesn't it? Are you running Win7, 8, or XP? EDIT : Just in case it's the firmware file, I've attached the most current version of 1.03. Andy.
Hi Andy thanks for coming back to me. Yes each RADIAN reports a serial number and in the version it says 255:255. I have bootloader 1.1 and its windows 7 32 bit. Just tried your file. I am connected to the PAN RADIAN and in a Futaba S-BUS daisy chain. The bootloader connects fine and reports the serial number. I loaded your new file fine then go to write it, and It quickly says erasing, writing, then program Failed. When I first connect with the bootloader, the message in the "Status" says ID Request OK. After the failed firmware update the message at the bottom "Last error message" says SerialNo Mismatch. To get into this situation all I did was put the pan RADIAN in bootloader mode just to check that the system was at the latest firmware. It initially reported 1.03 and when I saw that only 1.02 was available from the site I left it alone. Powered down the radian disconnected the COM lead and on rebooting the RADIAN all of the RADIAN's were in boot loader mode.
Hi, i have exactly the same problem there. two weeks ago, an italian customer reported me this problem, I changed his radians modul; Today another customer came to my workshop with the same problem: version N° is 255.255, no possibility to charge a new firmware as the bootloader report a failed error.
I have emailed JohnC (yesterday) and asked if he has time to review this thread and comment. He's usually pretty quick to respond, so as Windows keeps telling me, "Please wait...." Andy.
No nothing. I can't imagine that freefly as a company, want loads of Radians being returned for doing something so innocent, and in accordance with their instructions.
Oh. I see JohnC has not had a chance to post. Let me ping him again, Cedric. Sorry about that -- he's usually very quick to respond. Andy.
Hi Guys, Sorry for my late response : been away from the normal work a short time. Please try this firmware file. The issue is from the licensing method used when Freefly license the modules from CARVEC. The plan is to keep the web version up to date, but I think FF have been concentrating on other things lately and it must have lagged behind the latest batch which you have.
Welcome back John, Are there any other changes in the firmware you just uploaded? If we aren't having any issues with our current Radian firmware should we just leave it or upgrade to this? Thanks! Josh
Sorry if sounds stupid, I have bootloader 1.1 and my client could only download 1.03? he says couldn't find 1.1 anywhere and 1.03 doesn't have angles? what Im missing, Im on a mac now can someone clear this thanks
Guilherme might just be a terminology confusion. The Bootloader itself is V 1.01. The current firmware that is installed with the bootloader is 1.03. I don't have the screen shoots for 1.01 firmware but think it looked like this from the manual The newest version looks like this: Current angle was moved and the new Min/Max Angle and Fixed Pos was added. Hope this helps.
when are they coming with a new firmware that fix the roll problem?? or is it just the movi for freefly now??
hi, Thank you John for the firmware you gave us. it seems that my faulty moduls (those that were indicating current version 255.255) are now indicating V1.03. I will test them further away to see if evrything is right THANK YOU John (it will avoid Megan to return me some new spare moduls ! )
