ok guys i just got the motor control set and looking for instructions to connect every thing to the MK system ass well as to add to my operations manual. Can soem one help me out here as i have been scouring the net for info and haven't found any thing that clearly shows what needs to be connected to what and where. I do have the I2C converter. (update 1) after posting this i found http://www.flashrc.com/images/file/Notices/notice_i2cppm_v1_5_en.pdf while not exactly abuse mark it clarified a few things. if any one can elaborate on the abuse mark chip and how to connect that would be appreciated. (update 2) ok i feel kinda silly the moment i post this i find the abuse mark instructions. http://www.abusemark.com/downloads/stm_manual_v2.pdf
Ebad: I presume you mean MT3520? The FF Control set accepts standard PWM, and emits three phase motor control power so I see no reason why that would not work with those motors. Andy.
Hi What motors are you guys using for your setup? I'm thinking about rebuild my CS8 to a HL. Are you still using 4s lipos? I will use th MK FC and i2c converter. I'm using MT2814 now and thinking I might use the MT3515 and still use 14" props on the original booms. Suggestions?
Bonjour, I'm using the FF motor control on a Y6 with NAZA v2, and it's work fine. Now I have order the I2c converter and will try with MK electronics. Does all the telemetry will works on my MX-20?
Yes voltage only if you are pulling power for the MK FC from the PDB board directly so that you see the batteries (not using one of the 12 JST connectors). You will only see battery voltage on the screen but you will get other flight data. Primary loss is any battery consumption (amps consumed) and BL temps so those are all missing.
Bonjour, need help! I have install the i2c converter as they said. Make the setup for six motors with FF esc. connect to MK FC2.1 Power the FC from lipo and i2c from 12v of FF distribution. Bind the i2c, check the setting for 500Hz, 6 motors and so on. When power on I have this sequence: red light flashing fast then slowly for six count and off. I have a slow constant beep. On MK Tools no alarme. FC OK, Bl OK Not able to do motor test. Try and motor don't run. The only thing I'm not shure is the ground connection from i2c to FC. Where do you connect it on FC?
Claude did you do all the steps on the I2C instructions? Perhaps you could post a short video of your powerup to help us trouble shoot? Photos of how you have the I2C connected to the FC showing all of the connection points. Also there are three wires from the I2C to the FC board. D,C and Grd from the I2C connect to the FC at points 9 and 14
Bonjour, it's look like it does not detect the 4s lipo. Normaly we have 3 tones followed by 3 or 4 more tones depending on the lipo. I have the 3 first tones but follow by 1 repeating tone I will post a video
Claude I don't see anything that is wrong. You have the right sequence of lights on the I2C, it counts 6 motors. Did you solder the 1-2-3- jumper on the I2C for 6 motors? What is puzzling is the beeping going from the ESC's. Here's my startup. You can hear the motors chirp, you can hear the beeps (3) from the MK FC which I don't hear on yours, the green power light is on, the red status light flashes rapidly and then blinks 8 times for eight motors then everything goes silent.
I am using 4S, and I did not calibrate each of the ESC's. Took them out of the box, FF set did nothing more, Castle ICE 50's made the appropriate programming adjustments for multi-rotor, installed and did the ESC calibration as outlined in the I2C instructions.
bonjour, I can ear the 4 tones on your start sequence for the 4s lipo. On mine, I have the 3 first tones but not follows by the 4 tones for the lipo. It's look like the esc do not recognize the lipo. The problem is that this copter was flying last week with the same esc kit and motors and a NAZA V2. I will test everything again today. What are the values you have on the i2c setting? Merci, Claude
The standard settings should be fine. I made a change but don't know if it matters. On the I2C I change to a 500Mhz refresh rate and set the start stop points at 1060/1860 based on a post from Josh.
Bonjour, when you callibrate the i2c with the bind plug, do you ear the 4 tones for 4s lipo? I do not. I only have a slow repeating tone like the one on startup. Are you using the esc#1 to supply the power to i2c? I'm using 12v from FF distribution board
Sorry for a basic question but this has got me a few times. Did you go back in MK Tools and tell it what type radio you have?
Bonjour, yes, if you mean to tell that it's a Graupner. I can see the voltage on the telemetrie of my radio. 16.7v. It's really look like the esc do not see the 4s. Do you think a one by one calibration of the esc can fix that? merci
I have reinstall the NAZA, same setup, only replace MK and i2c. You can ear the normal beep. So motors and esc should be OK. I don't know where to look.
