I just got my hands on a freefly power board and have one question. There's a large connector on the board that has 8 pins in it. I believe its 4 seperate 12volt accessories. However when I measure across it all 4 outputs are 5V volts. Is there a jumper or something I need to do to make it output 12 volts?

It is 5 volts only. For lights or other 5V devices. It's been awhile since I hooked mine up but I seem to remember that there might be a 12V pad set.

HI Gary thanks. I see the 12V pad but I'm not measuring anything on it with my meter. Weird. I think the LED boom lights are 12V and just wanted to make sure for wiring.

Gary and anyone else that has the freefly board:

I took a picture of the board and numbered a few parts of the board.
When I go across the pins on connector below marked #1 - I get 5 volts. I"m going across the top pins to the bottom pins and its yielding 5 volts.
When I go across #2 to ground I'm not getting anything. When I go across #3 I'm getting 5 volts, and when I go across any of the points below marked #4 I"m not getting anything either.

Looking at this harness on QC's site I believe I"m supposed to be getting 12 volts out connector marked #1 below?

Send a question to support@freeflysystems.com. As I recall the 12V output was not implemented on the board. # 1 is the 5V pigtail tails. #2 not implemented. #3 5v. #4 mounting holes.

Any reason the the one #4 is melted down?

Thanks. I got the board used from QC. Just starting to figure it out.

Are the #4's a ground? If so, looks like someone soldered something to it.

    Andy.

Dont know Andy. I emailed Freefly like Gary suggested and they replied back that only the dealers support all cinestar items.

I use a couple of these and am quite sure the pig tails provide 12 volt power. We use them for led, FPV cam, etc. The product page at QC indicates they are 12 volt as well. I'm not anywhere near one now, but can check it out in more detail when I get home.

I flipped the board over to the bottom and measured the voltages. No where on the board am I measuring 12 volts. I think this board is shot. Going to look for a power hungry board.

Dave I talked with Freely and then pulled my copter down and double checked. Voltage out on the 2x4 connector is 12V. No 5v on the board. So if you are only seeing 5V then it isn't correct. Sorry for the confusion.
