So I haven't flown my alta in about 4 months. I got it out today and I can't get altitude hold or position hold to work. I fired up the app and sure enough the mode switch is not changing as I move the mode switch on the Futuba. I have the standard Futuba T14SG radio that QC setup for me when I bought it. I'm looking at the manual but I cant see how to check that the switch is still assigned to channel 5. Anyone?
Dave: Tap LNK twice and select SERVO. That shows you the map of the various RC channels. Verify whether or not the switch you're using for Flight Mode (usually Switch SB) is changing the output on channel 5. Also check the MODEL SEL. menu to see whether you have the ALTA model selected. Not sure how it would have got changed, but it's worth checking. Oh...and then there's this: http://forum.freeflysystems.com/ind...ng-the-futaba-radio-on-the-alta-6-and-8.7821/ Andy ---------- Forensic Software & sUAV / Drone Analyst : Photographer : Videographer : Pilot (Portland, Oregon, USA): Trees=2, Ground=1, Props=11. Thanks Andy. I was able to get the Freefly grief counselor on the phone yesterday and he helped me diagnosis the issue. It appears that for whatever reason, the mode switch is now a differerent switch on the radio. It's one of the 3 way switches on the left side. Not where it was right above the left stick. The mode switch is on alta is assigned to channel 5. I don't know if the radio just changed the assignment of channel 5 to another switch or if the alta switched the mode switch channel from something to channel 5. How can I assign the switch it was on to servo 5?
Download the Rather Good Guide®, Dave. (See message#3 above). It tells you how to assign switches to channels.
