I thought it might be helpful to folks who are not especially familiar with the Futaba 14SG transmitter and the R7008SB receiver, if there were a really detailed, step-by-step, guide to how to install the radio control system on the ALTA 6 and 8. The document is 51 pages long, just to give you some idea of the level of detail in it -- and the topic outline is shown below. EDIT: The file size is about 15 megabytes because of all the screen shots and images, so it may take a few minutes for the document to arrive in your email inbox. You can find the tutorial at http://rathergoodguides.com/tutorials.html It's available for free, but you can also set your own price if you feel that it has value for you -- I'm producing these only as a volunteer. Please let me know if you find the guide helpful -- but especially let me know if it is not helpful or there are errors of commission or omission in it. Andy
Hey Andy im trying to get this to work but all i never get the email to re-open it? i just get the one page document. i have checked junk mail never come can you have a look please
Can you PM me (on this forum), your email address Jason and I'll email it to you directly. The file is 14.5 MB. If need be, I'll email back a link to the file in my Dropbox account so it won't go through the email system at all. Andy
Hey Jason, no need to PM. I can see your request to my server and it has your email address. What I don't know is why my server didn't respond. There's no trace of it having sent the email with the document. Andy
Oh....I see a request from hotmail.com, but no matter. Let me figure out what's going on please. Thanks Andy
I finally got around to reading it thanks Andy there is new update for 14Sg you might want to update the file thanks 14SG Software Ver. 7.0 (4.6 MB) - updated April 3, 2017 Updated to multiple languages. Ver. 7.0 - English, Japanese, German; Ver. 7.0A - English, Dutch, French; Ver. 7.0B - English, Spanish, Czech; Ver. 7.0C - English, Russian, Italian. Also updated to be compatible with the SBS-01C Current Sensor and SBS-02A Altitude Sensor. Air Brake. Camber Mixing. Instructions (PDF)
Thanks Jason. Does that update invalidate the instructions in the RGG, or are you just referring to where I mention the version of the software? (I'm still having an argument with my Mac Server....) Andy
OK. I'll change it up as soon as I can figure out what's broken on my Mac Mini server.....I think I've been "Mac OS upgraded" to a standstill. Sigh. I hate it when that happens.
