Nice idea, Mario. Is this available for sale? If so, do you have a link? I don't see them on Flexacopter.com but I may be searching for the wrong thing. Thanks Andy.
Thanks Steve We think that in two weeks we will be ready for taking order. We will be offering a DIY set and a plug and play set with 25mm top quality German carbon tubes and pre-soldered wires in normal and coaxial version. 25/23mm plug with six 3,5mm motor plug's and two 2mm plugs for lights. Greetings, Mario
I echo, Yes I have been waiting for this solution since I saw the Smart-EU guys(The same guys that make or OSD) do this to there frames. This will truly make a field stripable system without having to screw around with unplugging 24 motor wires and my FPV and LED wires.
I like the approach you are taking on the dampening system as well. It looks like you are isolating it from the frame first versus the gimbal, which solves issues with the gimbal pan gains fighting the dampening system
Mario get yourself a Hitachi Bit driver like the DB 3DL2 and you can probably cut the time down by 25-40% screwing in the hex screws.
The production versions are ready DIY versions and Plug and play versions complete with 25mm German top grade carbon tubes. http://shop.flexacopter.com/parts-removable-arm-parts-c-66_70.html

Is that like 275$ per arm for x8 dual motor one arm setup? So a little over a 1k for an octo? I'm on my phone so it's tough to navigate
