Dave change the com port in MKTools to COM8. Sometimes it will pick up the change automatically but sounds like (and your photo shows) that the XBee is on COM8 and MKTool is on COM6. Sounds like you have the correct lights showing for an XBee 3DR setup.
Jason, XTCU is a good tool. But the landscape on other forums is littered with posts of folks that have used the XTCU software and bricked (locked up) their Xbees. Your directions are correct but it is not at all intuitive when doing it. And if it bricks, oh my... So probably a last ditch effort not to be taken lightly. And in this case I think Mark has the QC setup which doesn't use the software from Digi International.
Gary I can't get to this screen unless it connects and I can only connect via the wired system. Also I only see Com 6 and Com 7 as options when I do go to the screen.
OK hold the phone. I just reopened MK tools and hit firmware update and terminal and it let me change it to port 8. It is now connecting!!!!!!! Thanks so much everyone for helping!!!!!!
Can't answer without knowing which radios you have. If they are recent purchase from QuadroCopter then XTCU won't be of any help.
Have you tried completely un-installing the drivers for the xbee AND your drivers for the MK USB? Then install just the xbee drivers (should do it automatically when you plug it in. Josh
Aha! I thought that was the case! Sorry I dropped out of the conversation....I was in the edit suite. Andy.
