Seen a few M10's with the tilt plate inverted. How does one go about doing this on the M5. Been searching all morning. The inversion is important as I can't access the SDI Out port on my black magic 4k so we can monitor and downlink while in MR mode. THanks!

Ryan do you still want the handle on top? If that works simply flip the tilt upside down and balance it. When you turn it on it will be fine.

    Gary,

Yes. I have done that and the M5 freaks out when I do that.

Ryan I flipped mine over, rebalanced and it was fine. Can you post a cell phone video of what happens?

I don't know the answer to your question, but it seemed like the vertical tilt rails were in the way of the SDI no matter which orientation it would be in when I tried it.

Gary, Got it. Turns out There was a loose connection to the tilt sensor when I flipped it due to the zip ties pulling the wire out of the IMU SLIGHTLY.

Tim. I am using shorter 4 inch rods and have full access to the SDI out and no impact on the top hub. Modding this thing has saved my buns and it fits our teradek bolt pro just fine.

Cool. I would love to see a pic. The 4K is a really nice aerial camera, IMO. Might be worth the trouble after all.
