    Hello,

Been wanting a flexible HDMI cable for some time with a small JST sized "mid cable connection" so it could be routed through the MoVI hinge hole.

Other than cutting and modifying a cable ourselves, anyone know if such a thing?

    Thank you,

    PCG

I've never seen such a cable, Paul. The number of super thin HDMI cable choices is pretty limited I'm afraid so I think buying one and performing a "cablectomy" is probably the way you'll have to go.

Note: I'm often wrong, but never uncertain....

Thank you kindly Andy. Seems like this might be a great "next" cable for Freefly to offer...their flex HDMI cable with a small enough robust balanced connector (are hDMI cables balanced? One would think so lol) that can fit through the tray hinge hole....guess it's time to operate :)

For those interested, we found an extremely thin 5mm wide hdmi connector custom cable that *should* fit through the hinge hole. I'll report back once we get it...

Pau: Could you post a link -- other folks might like to know about the cable even if it doesn't go through the hinge hole...

Thanks! I didn't know they did custom cables.

Got our cable and IT TOTALLY WORKS GREAT.. Once you remove the HDMI plug the ribbon is *just barely* small enough to fit through the M10 hinge hole :) Reconnect HDMI cable and bam, no more tangled cables. We actually have additional power and HDMI running through the hinge and it works great. That said, the manufacturer was quick to say this is not recommended but then that's never stopped me in the past and we simply purchased a 2nd cable for when this one fails.

Could you post an image of your setup, please? I suspect other forum members would like to see it.

    Thanks
    Andy.
