Finished up a 4 day shoot at the dunes. Was super careful but still managed to get my tilt motor full of sand. ( hear grinding when I turn tilt motor by hand). Anyone know if it's possible to disassemble enough to clean out the sand?

Good question to ask the support desk at Freefly.

Let us know what they say cause I shoot a lot of action sports and dirt and dust is going to happen. A sealed motor upgrade would be nice.

I have taken to bringing a small 12V high-speed blower with me when I'm out in the field. I removed the 12V car connector and replaced it with an EC5 and I use it with a 3S LiPo. Works well to clean the schmutz from my camera, copter and gimbal to a certain degree. But I agree...I would imagine that there are lots of sticky bits that would be good to actually clean.
