I would sincerely appreciate a brief test after your next flight. I'm hoping to determine if yaw control authority is not uniform on the ground. (or in a bench test)It would help me feel more comfortable with my behavior.

    ANYWAY, please see:

On the completion of your next flight, could you please take 30 seconds and :
    • shut down
    • recalibrate,
    • start your motors
    • spool to 1/3 to 1/2 takeoff power
    • yaw counter clockwise 360 degrees
    • PAUSE FOR 3-5 SECONDS
    • yaw clockwise 360 degrees.
    Answer the poll below.

Any and all opinions / observations appreciated.

    Thanks, m

Mike full control all the time all the flights. Don't remember on the other thread but what transmitter are you using. If it is a Graupner have you run the stick calibration?

Gary, the MX-20. No I did not, however MKTools showed full deflection in each direction on ch4 while bench testing. In the air it's fine. But if you think it's something I should look at, I'm open. Where is it documented?

Mike you should check the calibration. You might find that it is off on you aileron channel. Calibration is in the 'hidden' menus. Page 29-32 in the Graupner manual.

I find it very easy to bump the switches on the MX20 that throw the servo trims off which have caused my throttle and yaw to be both off. Before every flight I check the servo display menu to make sure everything is zero'd out.

Interesting. Thanks Dave. I will definitely look at these. I know for sure that I have SOME trim on, but I believe it's minimal because when I fly, I maintain a fairly true hover fingers off, depending on wind.

At this point, I'm listing and looking at everything.
