Looks like a classic case of the hiccups! Have you tried giving it water to drink really fast? ;-) sorry, couldn't resist … Assuming nothing is tangled up, maybe it's radio interference? That is my first guess, but I do not know. Have you been able to replicate the problem in other circumstances?

Chris likely loss of signal from the remote to the MoVI. When that happens it kicks into Majestic mode. Good link in Brett's post.
