I just got my movi in about 2 days ago and have been having a blast using it on set. However, the only problem we keep having is when we put majestic mode on it starts panning out of control and we have to kill it before it gets all twisted. You can see our setup in the video above. BMCC camera, red rock Remote focus, teradek bolt and v lock batter mounted to the top handle.. Let me know if anyone else has had this problem..
You need to be more specific on "spinning". Does it keep going in circles or does it get to a position and stop?
No we figured it out.. It was trying to go the the front of the handle. I had no idea there was a back or front to the way they handles were held.. haha
I used a silver pen to put a mark on the top of the pan motor part that attaches to the handles. If you take the handles on and off or use the MōVI with a Cinestar copter it makes it easy to know the 'front' side of the motor.
