Are you connecting directly to the Navi board via the MK USB adapter, Devin?
And what happens when you try to connect?

    Hi Andy!
Yup connecting directly with mk USB
Mk tools is saying no connection.
Very odd as I have been able to connect with various versions of mk tools in the last couple days as I upgraded firmware
USB flashing red led at me
Fc at 2.0, but no idea what navi version is

Let's start by eliminating some possible causes:

    1. What do you see in the Windows Device Manager under the COM and LPT section please?
    2. Is there a USB serial device shown that goes away when you disconnect the USB Adapter from the PC?
    3. What COM port is it assigned to?
    4. Does MK Tool, when it starts up show that it is using that COM port?

Also there's this technique that *might* work on the Navi board: -- I've not needed to try it, so I'm not sure it's viable.

    Andy.

The response I get when I try vid method is
Write function failed (win error code:6)
And on main mk tools screen is just says no connection when I power navi directly with USB and jumper
    Any thoughts?

Hmmm. That fact that you can talk to the FC seems to exonerate the Windows/USB cable/USB Adapter/Ribbon Cable.
I'm wondering what else you can check. The fact that you originally managed to upgrade them also would seem to exonerate the same things -- which is leading me to wonder whether the Navigation Control Board got bricked somewhere along the way.

I realize that's not what you want to hear, but unless someone else on the forum has some additional thoughts, I suspect you might want to contact your dealer and figure out how best to proceed.

That said, I just a Google search and did find this (albeit from 2010):

Put the Navi back in the stack and connect the ribbon cables. Once in MKTool click Navi button then go into terminal and try to update firmware. When you see trying reset pull both ribbon cables and quickly reattach them. With my fat fingers it took me a couple of times but the Navi did come back online after the firmware updated. It's like hitting it with CPR!

    My Google search phrase was:
    mikrokopter failed to update
...and Google suggested "navictrl" as an additional search term.
EDIT: There are several other apparently relevant hits that might help.

Also, have you tried removing the NC board entirely, plugging in the USB jumper on the MK USB adapter, connecting up to the NC board, and trying to update the NC without anything else attached to it. Sorry if this sounds weird, but I'm running out of ideas of things you can try before you really do have to contact your dealer.

    Andy
