I was out flying today when all of the data on the monitoring screen went blank, except for my voltage which froze in place. There was nothing flashing on the status light to indicate an error, and the voltage was 24.3 when this happened. It landed with no issues and when I reconnected the batteries the app connected just fine.

In the event this happens again, I'm assuming standard procedure would be to bring the craft in regardless of what the status light says as you can no longer monitor anything going on. What do y'all do in this situation?

    Hi Daniel:
If the app. crashes, I think that it's only the app. that has stopped. Everything else on the ALTA and the transmitter will be working. To the degree possible, either do a Return to Home, or manually fly the ALTA back and land (as you suggested).

The wifi range of the app is seriously limited. I never rely on it when flying. Use a dual receiver for your radio that will give you battery feedback. and fly with that panel open on the receiver. Your FPV camera should also report battery voltage, altitude, distance from the take-off point and heading. Keep your eye on that.
