I've made significant improvements in the stability of the 7D video. I switched from the 20mm EF lens to the 24MM IS lens and also changed 3 orings in each dampner to blue (thanks for the tip Chris). I also lowered the radian gains from 100 to 75 on the tilt and roll radians. Let me know what you think? This is raw video, no stabilization in post.
I'm sneaking up on the gain on the roll radian. Right now I"m only giving a gain of 75%. I plan on going up to 90% next flight. Here's what the footage looked like before the blue oring's and the lens stabilization of the Canon 24mm lens. Radian settings were tilt 100% gain, roll 100% gain.
