No its the kw9 from kopterworx, and it gives me 13 min of flighttime on a 6000mHa 6s and 22 min on 2x6000mHa I am very happy with this setup and can only recommend it
Finally got legs made for my bird so took some pictures of it and heres the specs. I do have a bad vibrations issues to work out from the way i have the gimbal attached but i think i can fix it by spreading out the 2 backets attaching the gimbal to the bottom plate. Figured I would update my pictures of our copter. Took these while test fitting a RED for the first time:
New addition to the fleet. Just for fun. I feel the need...the need for speed! But seriously, I have fallen in love with "flying", and I figured one of these things would quench that thirst. After the first couple flights, though, I think I'm going to build myself a bungee launcher. "Awkward" barely describes the takeoff process.
Looks like Steve is going for long flights. Similar to Beauregard's flights. Way to much fun. Steve the next step is to get a full on Antenna Tracker, like something from ReadyMadeRc. You go Maverick!!!!
This system is built for a very different mission than our copters. My goal with this plane (a Ritewing ZXR custom built by Rocky Detzel in Mexico) is pure enjoyment of flight. It's got a ton of power, can do more than an hour in the air, and Rocky says it'll go 10 miles out with full FPV. It will do so using a DragonLink UHF TX/RX for airplane control, and a 2.4Ghz Lawmate video TX/RX for FPV (based on what the TBS guys are flying). It's got paralleled 3000mA 4S batteries, plus a 3S for the downlink stuff. I'm adding an RVOSD for autopilot, stabilization and return to home capability, in addition to a better OSD. I'll see if I need an antenna tracker...my goal is just to cruise the coastline, and for that, it's pretty much gonna be pointed North or South.
Hey Andy sorry but youre gonna have to spell that out for me ......what do you mean by IFR ? Infa red is about as close a guess as I can get...lol Matt
