The hot shoe adapter from QC is a little flimsy, feels like there is a lot of stress on that little screw. Any idea where some guys are getting this bracket for their controllers? Would help a lot!
This is something I have not seen before - must be new. http://www.mikrokopter.us/shop/mkus-video-mount-mikrokopterus-video-mount-for-graupner-mx-20
I had also saved this page a while back, but this set up looks very big. http://www.infinity-hobby.com/main/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=26&products_id=8281&osCsid=
He is using the one from Secraft. I have those items. http://www.secraft.net/shop/step1.php?number=1116 And this one. http://www.secraft.net/shop/step1.php?number=1264 and not to mention that one http://www.secraft.net/shop/step1.php?number=1059
I use this one on my MX-20 and MX-12 with a 7" monitor mounted on both. Works really well. http://www.goodluckbuy.com/fpv-moni...ort-folding-carbon-fiber-for-transmitter.html
I have been using the QC setup myself and the radio mounting knob has broken twice. I just reinforced the underside of the screw with a 9/16X 9/16" alunimum plate that's 1/32 thick. But the material all around it is made of plastic and meant to carry that kind of stress. Thanks for the MK link. I just ordered it.
Dave if the attachpoint is breaking on the MX-20 you should look at the Secraft. The MKUS one looks like it also attaches to the lanyard attach point. Personally that is just to much hanging from that point. Secraft stuff is top notch.
Gary looking at pictures the mikrokopter one has several additonal points that help take stress off the front mounting point. There's also additional support from under the radio that helps reinforce it. I'll report back if its good to go or if its going on Ebay.
Dave it is plastic. Attach point for your neck strap would be the same with even more weight from the monitor added. The Secraft or other tray type systems connect the neck strap to the tray not the transmitter.
Yes you can also the Foxtech Monitor bolts right on the plate with 4 screws very solid . I got the blue is soooo pretty.
Bill that is a pretty nice setup. Just curious are you just using velcro to mount your receiver to the back of the monitor? Is the angle for the monitor adjustable at all? Do you just clip the neck strap to the mount on the receiver?
