    Hi all,
Movi with Red Epic, Leica Sumicron 25mm, BFD, Paralinx. On a crane on a Camera Car (tracking vehicle) pointing forward. All working great until we get up to about 80kph. Dies and goes all floppy. Is this normal? Is it just that the motors cant fight the wind anymore and it goes into 'Kill Mode'? Can we use batts with more current draw to overcome this. Any help appreciated.
    Thanks

Had the same thing at 70kph with a similar crane setup. Seems the system becomes unresponsive when a wind force is constantly greater than the maximum torque and has moved the head away from where it should be according to the RC commands. Like it won't take commands until it can drive the motors back to the correct position.

    Yep. Same.

Tracking vehicle facing forward. Epic, Mini S4, Axis 1, in the hand of a MoVI Grip.

Dies at these speeds after a single 4 min take.

It's the wind and the weak batteries cannot keep up.

I hope this is addressed with the M15 upgrade. Freefly are very aware of the issue.

I think we might be pushing the limits of these things… hands up for beta testing…

We are getting steady footage at over 100kph flying the Epic but we have additional camera support that allows higher stiffness settings.

On the road now and don't have the rig with me for a pic. It is very similar to the M15 support. Not such an issue with octocopter but when we put the Movi on our high speed SR helis things quickly went south so we had to make our own.

Thanks for all the responses guys.
Seems we have found the limits of going forward into the wind!
