We just ordered it. Very stoked. I just found out about the "bonus accessory". That still happening? I wonder what it could be?
Ditto on the Cinema Oxide case. It is fantastic to be able to balance the Movi, pack it up, then add the camera in the field and be ready to shoot. The case is not too heavy yet it is sufficiently substantial to deter theft, at least a bit. As someone who is always losing tools, I appreciate the dedicated slots for the Movi screwdrivers!
Our wait times on the Movi case have improved significantly as we've ramped up production recently. All outstanding orders should ship this week and if you order today it should ship in less than a week.
Just got my M10 case from Jason. It is absolutely the only case to buy. Jason is great to deal with. So glad I'm not carrying that cardboard box around anymore! Great build quality, a real quality product. More pictures to follow.
DCal; you're going to love this case. I ordered mine and have been filling it up ever since... I can't seem to make a dent in all the usable space this case from Cinema Oxide has to offer! Jason, thanks for building another great product! This case does exactly what it is supposed to do. The MoVI is safe and every accessory I have including follow focus, downlink, 5d and a few lenses fit into the case. I'm very happy with it and looking forward to any new accessories that come along from Cinema Oxide!
Received mine a few weeks ago. (MoVI Case with black overlay), WOW now I can get everything for my MoVI in one CASE. Suprizingly the weight is ok with everything neatly inside. Thanks Jason !!!
Out of curiosity what is the weight of the case with everything in side? And does anyone have a rough weight of the movi fully kitted out?
Hi Andrew, actually Vincent Laforet did an article about this. He weighed it with everything inside, and it came it at just under 40 pounds. Here's the article: http://blog.vincentlaforet.com/2013/10/22/recent-movi-news-accessories/
The MoVi M10 custom hard case by Cinema Oxide makes my job as a cinematographer a little less hectic because it allows me to travel domestically & internationally with the MoVi fully built and protected. Anything that allows me to concentrate on story telling rather than the nagging thoughts of gear logistics and protection is worth a premium in my book. On top of that, the customer service is top notch!
I am reaching out here because my emails to Jason Comparetto from Cinema Oxide are going unanswered. Jason, where is the case that I paid for over a month ago?
Hi Ben, I've responded to your email and I'll send you a tracking number today. Please contact me by email, thanks I'll have a nice update for this thread later today as well
I meant to leave feedback on the cinema oxide Movi M10 case a while ago. Finally I have time to do this. The case is sturdy and has plenty of space to put extra accessories such as monitors, additional chargers and batteries as well as a space to put some tools. I was searching for the right case and almost came to custom make one but luckily found this case. Jason was super helpful getting this case when the shipping company screwed up. Thanks for the great case. Now I feel more confident to ship this unit to where ever our production goes.
Received our MoVI kit with this case just last week, very nice indeed! Do you guys think that it is unwise to transport the case with the roller wheels? Despite the tight fit, I'm not sure whether the vibrations of roads & bumps would still be able to cause damage. Here in Kyoto we've tended to rely on trains & taxis to get around, so I'm wondering just how fare I can get (safely) with the case, on foot.
Thanks for the Feedback, David. Looks like you're really making good use of all the space in the case!
