We shot a lot of long lens stuff in the past - 50mm, 85mm, a few 100mm shots. But I wanted to go even further and see what a 135mm would look like. Here is a little test: UAV: Cinestar X8 with MoVI MR10 Camera: RED Epic Dragon Lenses: Vintage Zeiss Sonnar 135mm f/4 and Nikon Nikkor 85mm f/1.4
Nice Tim. So with the 135mm what is the equivalent in 35mm camera with the RED. RED has a magnification factor, correct? Which makes it even more impressive.
Thanks Gary. The RED Epic Dragon has a 1.25 crop factor at 6K - so the 35mm equivalent would be 170mm. Cheers, Tim
Saw this over on Vimeo - just awesome guys! We've never gone longer than 50mm on the FS7 - time to try? Ryan - you like the Rokinon? They keep staring at me whenever I go looking at lenses, but haven't taken the plunge. Maybe I should? E-mount.
Deriek the Rokinon lenses are awesome. I have the 18,24,35,85 for my BM4K and use them as well on the red epic when I fly with Scott Hansen. They are great lenses and suggest anyone to get them.
