We shot a lot of long lens stuff in the past - 50mm, 85mm, a few 100mm shots. But I wanted to go even further and see what a 135mm would look like. Here is a little test:

UAV: Cinestar X8 with MoVI MR10
    Camera: RED Epic Dragon
Lenses: Vintage Zeiss Sonnar 135mm f/4 and Nikon Nikkor 85mm f/1.4

Nice Tim. So with the 135mm what is the equivalent in 35mm camera with the RED. RED has a magnification factor, correct? Which makes it even more impressive.

Thanks Gary. The RED Epic Dragon has a 1.25 crop factor at 6K - so the 35mm equivalent would be 170mm.

    Cheers,
    Tim

Very nice. Been playing with the 85 rokinon on the BM4k and loving the results.

Really nice to see the longer look and shallow depth.

Saw this over on Vimeo - just awesome guys! We've never gone longer than 50mm on the FS7 - time to try?

Ryan - you like the Rokinon? They keep staring at me whenever I go looking at lenses, but haven't taken the plunge. Maybe I should? E-mount.

Deriek the Rokinon lenses are awesome. I have the 18,24,35,85 for my BM4K and use them as well on the red epic when I fly with Scott Hansen. They are great lenses and suggest anyone to get them.

Just a few years ago this would have been unthinkable. Great stuff!
