Can someone please enlighten me difference on the two new Microkopter PCB boards? example http://www.quadrocopter.com/Quadro-2XL-Combi_p_1151.html and http://www.quadrocopter.com/Double-Quadro-V3--Cool_p_1238.html which one should i buy?
It depends whether you have a quad or an octo. The Double is two of the Quadro boards and is for an octo. It’s what I use. It’s great.
both boards you could use for a quad or a octo! so the only other thing i can see is the more cooling! plus it says Cool! Hmm any other imput?
The 2XL Combi only has 4 BLs on it. So you’d need two for an octo. See here: http://www.mikrokopter.de/ucwiki/en/Quadro-BL-Ctrl_3 The cooling fins on the “cool” octo boards really help with cooling. I was flying yesterday with a test load on a very warm day (87°F) mostly in a hover, and my BL temps never went above 50°C.
