I have communication between the new controller and the MOVI but no joystick control. Radio type is set to MOVI, My speeds are set high and I am in the dual operator mode. I'm sure the solution is simple but I'm not seeing it. Thanks
Silly question, but are the pan/tilt knobs on the left of controller turned all the way down? Make sure controller and MoVI reciever are on the same channel. If it still doesn't work, try pairing them again. You can download the manual here http://www.freeflysystems.com/media/instruction-manuals.php
I am having the same problem. All knobs are pointed up. I have paired the controller countless times. all wheels + knobs work too. Only the joystick will not communicate!
Adrian, using the Configurator, make sure that the radio type is set to MoVI Controller. Forgive me if my terminology is not precise, but I can't fire up the Configurator to check without getting the whole Movi out.
Thanks Austin - I have also done this as one of my first steps. everything on the controller seems to work fine except the Joystick manoeuvres !
Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realize that. When you go into the TX Monitor and push the tilt/pan on the joystick, do you see those axes registering movement?
My problem was simple. I did not have the correct controller selected. I don't have the configurator in front of me but there is an option in the menus to change which controller you use.
To change the setting for the radio type from the default (for Spektrum radios, DSM2 2048) to MōVI Controller, in the app, you go to: Configuration::Remote Controller Config::Radio Type Toggle through the options, until you get to MōVI Controller. Once select the right radio type, remember to Write Settings, from the System menu. Please note: you cannot change the radio type to MōVI Controller from the MōVI Controller itself. It may show in the Tx Config on the Controller that the radio type is set to MōVI Controller, but you need to verify in the app. And the setting must be changed through the app.
I have selected Radio type to Movi controller, every other controls works well expect the joystick... Is that a problem with the joystick hardware??
How is one supposed to use the MAC WiFi adapter and a MOVI controller at the same time to fix this problem if they need to be plugged into the same port on the MOVI? I'm a total newb with the MOVI (got it last week).
