Hi guys, I'm a single-operator covering events & tourism videos in Japan. Most of the time I like to use Majestic mode with very little tilt/pan window, as I feel this gives me the most control in most situations. However at times I wish to lock it off (prevent panning/tilting) instantly to get a slider or jib style shot - normally done by getting the framing right in Majestic, then asking someone else to switch to Remote Operator mode on the remote control. Given all they are doing is flipping a switch, it would be great to have something like that on the MoVI handle - a 'lock' switch, or even better a switch that selects a number of different presets (say, a fast Majestic mode, slow Majestic mode, and a Lock mode). Is there anything like that on the cards at the moment, or has anyone with similar needs done a mod of some description?
Perhaps a three-way-switch (or even more to add a kill-switch similar to the remote control options) instead of the power switch. That could be something for the M15 upgrade.
