    Thank you Bill.

We're flying the cinestar 8 with hp4108-480kv from RC Timer. For the flight time, we're now around 9 minutes with a 5d.
It could be great to keep this flight time and we're two operator.

It’s unlikely you’ll be able to fly that long with a newer brushless gimbal. Depending on the sizes of the motors you go with (directly related to the projected payload capacity), the gimbal is either going to weigh a little more or a lot more. Either way, that’s why most folks (like me) are also upgrading their copters’ propulsion systems to use 6S batteries. It’s not impossible to lift those gimbals and their cameras with a 4S copter, but there’s no way you’ll get 9 minute flight times (in my experience). Search for threads on the forum about “heavy lift” upgrades.

ok i have been flying with the 5208mmotors on all 3 axis and they hold good i think but ,now we have bigger cameras.and then i want to change pan to 8017 motor and myde the roll also?? do you think the 8017 wil hold good witchout the belt drive?
and 5208 for roll as well?the roll is easy to balance perfect, the pan a bit difficult to get perfect,:)

so i thinking setup like this:
    roll and tilt= 1 stk 5208 150t or 5208 120 t?.(i have the 5208 at home:)
    pan direct drive= 8017 120 t.

Anyone tried to feed power trough the Slip ring for 8 series gimbal motor?

Has anyone tried using multiple IMUs, on each axis, to get better accuracy like when using radians?

Yes byou can but you have to use two or three strads of wire twisted together for positive and negative, The wires are too thin to carry the amps.

Can a flight 8017 motor have a slipping added to it? I would mind powering my axis gimbal from my main flight packs.

Also I'm trying to tune pitch, but i cant seem to get rid of the cogging. Im running a 5108 motor with a gh3, alexmos at 19.5v. Not sure what settings to adjust, I've tried raising and lowering power, i ended up at 110. and 19,22,22 for the PIDs. Im lost at this point.

The Iflight motors have a recess to install a slipring, I don't know the diameter but some motors are 12mm and some are 18mm.
    The GB110 is 18mm

Thanks Bill. Any ideas on my cogging issue?

The power 110 seems ok but the PID's seem too high for the 5108. Mine are about 11-.07-9 for the tilt that is.

you can have the power to 200 is the "P" that makes the difference.
every time you raise the P you supply more power to the motor.

So P is the percentage of power from the power number?
I took the motor off, should have checked when i put it all together, and with the same PIDs and roll, which is a higher, the motors are very different, the roll motor is super smooth, while the tilt motor is still cogging with no load. I believe the motor has an issue which is why i can't get it to work smoothly. Im going to try and take it appart to see if wires are broken or touching.

Testing vibration dampening, pan belt behavior etc. in -20 Celsius before 4 days shooting in north Lapland Finland last week. Everything worked really well in that cold, only one freefly hdmi converter died and new macbook pros are freezing completely in that cold.

Thank you Howard but there are glitches. I tried it this afternoon and I couldn't make it stay still, so I downgraded to the 2.3b5 and go it stable.
I don't know maybe I'll play with it tomorrow, but for the RED I had too many glitches.

No strange glitchy behavior yet on our end. So far so good. Still running the original 5208s dual on all axis. If it ain't broke don't fix it!
