We successfully modified the movi controller to make its remote control distance of 1 km. This allows us to effectively control the zoom lens when shooting This is already comparable to shotover g1+u1 We removed the original xbee s1pro chip built into the controller and tried to replace it with xbee x3b but it failed because the bandwidth is not enough. After trying the microhard effect is very good

We just bought a new movi pro, with red and alta 8. Took it on a shoot (will admit that it was a high wifi area, university to be exact) and got killed by the movi losing signal all the time!!!! this caused the gimbal, mid shot to just bounce up and down. DOP lost all confidence and i was left very disheartened. The distance on this was like 100m and less. What made things worse was, later on we go and do plate shots in the courtyard in the centre of the university and gimbal would not get signal from literally 10m in the air!!!!! I am not sure what to do. We have just spent like $100 000 on the full set up (inc Red camera) and first shoot we have we get killed by range..... Maybe the UAE has range issues or frequency issues that are bumping us out but ye, got a 5 day shoot coming up mid August and its a action film with explosions and stuff, so need to have this sorted by then. Please help.

I have a 10 year visa in the United States but I don't speak English well enough. Since I communicate now, the translation software on the mobile phone is perfect if you can coordinate a Chinese translation over there.
Even if you have RF Explorer, you can only detect ambient interference signals, not change the power or frequency of the controller. This does not solve the fundamental problem of short remote distance
My approach is to replace the XBee chip in the controller to change the transmitter frequency into 900m transmission, so that the 5.8G link with the UAV remote link map is not interfered with each other on three different frequencies.
Multi rotor use2.4g like futaba or dji datalink3,video use connex amimon in5.8g ,After refitting movi controller in 900m。
This modification is somewhat difficult and even a great risk to destroy your original controller receiver.
