Hi all, i just recieved the Carbon V-Mount and the IDX Batteries promoted in Tabbs video. (IDX Endura 7s) The batteries manual says 50W max! Isn't that way low? Epic alone is around 60W! Adding FF & Paralynx pushing it further the wrong direction! :-( I just don't want to kill the batteries at the first opportunity! Any advice? thanks Michael
Hi Michael, I found I need to go at least 95WH. Went with bluehshape batteries. I'm was running an epic, rt motion foucs and teradek bolt pro 2K off the 7s and I was getting mins and sometimes it wasn't even enough to power the epic up. The blueshapes I get a good 45mins powering everything. Hope this helps. Sam
... But why was Tabb promoting the battery in his video covering the v-mount? If someone knows its Freefly! Isn't it?
I've run around 10 jobs off the Endura s7s using either the digital BFD or the RTMotion with either Paralinx or Teradek. Once I even ran Bartech and RTMotion together (RT did iris) using a splitter. I use the dual DTap plate.
Hi Brett, it would be super nice to know, for how long you were able to power your setup with one of the 7s ? Thanks and best - Markus
Michael, Maybe it was just your wording, but unlike the Lipos, you won't "kill" these IDX batteries if you try them with that whole setup. The gear will either get enough draw or not. Have you tried it all yet? Best, Lael
Well not "kill" like a bulging Lipo, but shorten the estimated lifetime of the battery exensively. Havn't tried it out yet. I thought of returning the batteries if the packagewould not work! Thanks Michael
Hi Frank-Michael, the posting of Brett about 35-40min runtime sounds very promising. So in your place I would not return the 7s. You can of course take bigger batteries, but they make the whole setup heavy and from my experience - every gram counts if you are not hulk Best Markus
