Looks like we might have the names of some of the new product lines. This was posted on the NAB site about Freefly: "Freefly Systems is the industry leader in developing next generation systems in camera stabilization and movement. Freefly Systems’ products include the CineStar line of multi-rotor helicopters, the Synapse intelligent flight controller and Mōvi camera gimbals. With over a decade of experience in the professional cinematography industry, Freefly Systems has a unique ability to develop and bring innovative products to market that serve the needs of cinema and aerial professionals." One week to go...wish I was going to be there!
Oh...nice pickup. The last piece of the puzzle is what new frames, if any we'll see besides the micro. I wonder what will happen with the Radians after these new DD gimbals are released. Surely 3 external modules won't be needed. Will the gimbals work with with other electronics besides FF? The zenmuse only works with wookong from what I understand. All will be answered in due time I suppose
One thing for sure, after using the 3 axis gimbal for a shoot a few months ago in place of a Steadicam... someone is going to market a direct drive hand held gimbal for cameras that are just being used in normal ground production. Screw the aerial stuff as this is way bigger than that. If I were Freefly, this is what I would be looking at bringing to market. If it hasn't been done already
I'd love to see what your setup for that looks like. We've been playing around with the idea of putting one at the end of a jib
Looks like there are some product shots on the QC site as well. All of the products including the HL. Where's my wallet?
Hmm I wonder in place of a steadicam hmmm! some one would have to also invent a DD steadicam ARM, o man
