If the PC shows 'unknown when reading the config then it is not set for the correct sensing axis. You need to get the right orientation into it for tilt. Just in case the internal config has been corrupted, run the PC software and on the configuration window, write the default config (don't read first). Then click 'set defaults for tilt' and write the config again. Then read it out and check it shows it is set for tilt-1. Then give it another try ....
