    Don’t use MULTIROTOR from Service-drone – they’re not safe
We just want to share our own completely negative experience with Service-drone with you because we believe that their MULTIROTOR can be deadly dangerous and also to help anyone who might suffer similar damage and material loss to their business as ours can avoid it.
First and foremost, since it concerns the matter of people’s safety - you cannot rely on their machines! They are dangerous flying pieces of metal whose control is not fully in your hands, despite that you think it is. Within one year we’ve witnessed how these drones can go totally out of control and even threaten people’s lives.
What exactly happens with the control of the drones is still not clear, even after Service-drone’s inspection it’s still not clear what goes wrong and makes the copters go crazy. What happens is that the machine just stops being controllable with the remote control, starts speeding up toward unknown direction, flying like crazy and eventually hit the ground - or the sea suffice as it happened in one of the cases when we were using the Skycrane. You can imagine how deadly this huge machine can become on the occupied shooting set, mounted with a heavy epic camera on and speeded up toward unknown direction. We were lucky that this happened on a rehearsal and not during the shooting, and that we were in boats in the sea so it didn’t hit anything At one moment the drone went uncontrollable, started spinning and speeding up and eventually crashed in the sea. It’s good to mention that the pilot of the copter was a professional Service-drone pilot and he confirmed that at one point the machine stopped responding to the commands of the remote controller.
Here are videos from the incident:
What made our working experience with Service-drone even worse was the fact that after we suffered a huge loss (involving not only the drone, the camera and the production) they didn’t show any customer care, but actually the opposite – total customer neglect. The only thing that happened was that they wanted from us more money. They were so mean and nasty (they even forbid us to communicate with them in English no matter that we were the customer). Now we’re going to court with them but if you can avoid all this – please, do.
