Wow, you got the cinetape on there. Seems the 1st AC is nervous. It would just as well on the handle.
Hi Arturo, in the moment i'm only using the 95. The 65ers should work also, if they deliver enough amperes (about 6a A are needed for Epic, Cinetape and follow focus). Cinetape is quite useful, since we are doing many hand-shots (running) and setups like this: ;-) Cheers, Wolf
Hi Wolf, your setup looks like a heavy loaded workhorse. Got my Movi yesterday. Works good so far. Thanks for all the testing. Starting to shoot our feature next week. I got some good solutions for the red monitor cable and a steady cam adapter. Pics will follow. Good luck, Andreas
Hi Wolf, What's your procedure for docking in inverted mode? Do yo have a secure way to set the rig down? Have you noticed an slippage on the vertical pan joint? I'm afraid If I put 12 lbs of force on that little joint, bad things will happen.
Hi Chris, i built an adapter-piece for a normal low-boy stand. I can set the MōVI in the stand for resting and for installing and balancing the camera. I didn´t notice any slippage on the pan-joint yet, but watch this very closely and tighten the screws often. I find it very easy to balance the system in the upside-down mode and get very high gain numbers (140/120/115).. Best, Wolf
The pan arm is what scares me the most. You must have to flip the rig over to adjust it correct? I might give this a go on an upcoming film.
No, you just balance it upside down from the start and turn it on... It's more sensitive to hard bumps, you need to watch tis more, but the steadicam arm will smoothen the movements a lot. Best, Wolf
I just returned from the six week's feature, 98% shoted with MoVi, it's the first Feature in Italy shoted with MoVi...here is the backstage pics https://www.facebook.com/pages/PEREZ-un-film-di-Edoardo-De-Angelis/419599971509268?fref=photo It will be in theater about in october!
