    Hello everyone!

I will be ordering some 15" XOAR props for use with T-Motor 3515-15 (400KV) motors and I'm stuck with choosing the correct prop pitch.

Should I go with 15x4 or 15x5? Does anyone has some experience or test data how the prop pitch affects current draw, flight times and motor temperatures?

    Cheers!

15x5 seems to be the most common. Do a search on member Mario De Roos who has some prop testing videos here and also over on Vimeo under Flexacopter LTD.

    Hi Gary,

I've seen Mario's testing videos, he has done a great job with these! Unfortunately he hasn't tested XOAR 15x5, but from his test it seems that 15x4 is not really that efficient (compared to 15x6 prop). So far I'm leaning towards 15x5. Does anyone have any more suggestions?

Whatever you end up deciding just keep in mind that altitude in your location may lead to varied results. At 4000ft you may see much different efficiency then somebody at sea-level who has 14% more air to work with.
