If you have Andy's cinestar build DVD (shame on you if you don't) he talks about how wind gusts can play havic with the air pressure sensor on the flight control board. I"m planning on putting 2 pieces of velcro on top of mine with a hole in the bottom piece over where the sensor hole is. Anyone modify their sensor to reduce variations for wind gusts?
For an MK stack take a look at the MK wiki. The standard seems to be a small piece of foam held in place with a piece of shrink wrap or tie wrap. You can see it here: http://mikrokopter.de/ucwiki/en/heightsensor?highlight=(altitude)|(sensor)|(foam) And don't forget to use a pit of hot glue or UHU to stick it down like you did for the capacitors.
Thanks Gary I didn't see that on the wiki. I think I like Andy's idea of velcro more and more. Did you do this mod? IF so what did you use?
I got it from reading multiple forums as I started my build more than a year ago. Has worked very well.
I used velcro, but not this way. Took a strip of velcro that has hooks on one side and nap on the other, faced the nap toward the hole and wrapped it around the sensor securing to itself. No matter how...just do it.
