First time building my CS8 -- I've noticed a few other people have tires on the feet of their CS. Anyone have a link to what tires to buy?

What specs should I look for on Amazon?

    Thanks so much!
    Zach

I like Brandon's off road tires. Look at the tread on those puppies!

haha me too Gary. Mine where a little smaller than his and I ended up switching over to the extended legs for the extra height. Although, his almost look like they would add close to the same height as the extenders.

The thing I don't like about the gear extenders is that it's a bit easy to catch them under grass -- someone posted a clever workaround involving plastic tubing that pushes on to the end of the extender and then loops back up and around to where the extender meets the landing gear leg -- thus forming a loop that prevents grass from serving as a tie-down....

I wish the extenders where thicker/wider so i could drill a hole in the bottom of it and use a wheel as well. I like having the rubber dampen when landing so it isn't so solid like the extenders are.

I agree, Tristan. I tried cutting 6cm lengths of "pool noodle" and epoxying them on the pointed part of the landing gear extensions. That worked well for me in that it made the landings on hard pack dirt softer (and increased the visibility of the copter). However, the pool noodle material is not strong enough and after a while would break free from the epoxy.

But, I suppose the solid legs forces one to improve one's landings.... :)

How come you have ALL the clever ideas, Gary?

Like just keeping the motors running and swap out the flight batteries one at a time with it hovering overhead, right? ;)

My landings are smooth I just liked having that little dampening that the rubber tires offered :) Gary, is that the next Cinestar coming out? Cinestar Aerial Charging

No changing of batteries Andy. Total aerial refuel with a rapid charger plug on the landing gear. PH and AH holds it rock solid with the new ACC. Plug in at a 5C or more charge rate, wait about 10 minutes and off you go again.

Working on downsizing one of the small nuclear power devices they use on the Mars rover. Then you would have totally unlimited flight times.

    it's been a long day........

You've stopped taking your medication too, haven't you, Gary?
We've talked about this before, haven't we? :)
