Looks heavy and expensive, Bill.
I read somwhere that is about 11K
The only thing is that they don't care about cosmetics just functionality. Now that was back is may-2012. Maybe the price has changed.
This is what was said on RR.
<<Doing testing with the RED Epic on a 100mm lens, and it is as stable or even more stable than a Cineflex..,, NO BS.. The Cineron is stabilized to 40 micro-radians.Thats equivalent to 1/2 of one pixel when shooting 5k at an 85mm focal length! This is truly the "Game Changer".>>
What ever that means it sounds good.
Bill what is RR?
is another forum runryder
The copter vid looks like it was taken at 90-120fps. Look at the vibration they are getting in the landing gear.. Imagine that in real time. It's interesting but I don't think the video from the camera was without post. A few of the shots look to have blurry artifacts
I agree Brad. The ground shots from the car looked good... but the copter footage wasn't good. There was a TON of vibration going on!

Thanks for the update!
The Cineron was being sold at a promotional cost of $50k for a limited time before going to the regular price of $75k. I wager that, if they are lucky, they may sell a half dozen of them, if any.
The camera mount looks interesting although VERY cluttered. The helicopter looks like a big POS. It has some major vibration issues that are to be expected with that frame design and camera mount location. Soft mounting the camera mount with it in that location is going to set up all kinds of harmonics. I can't imagine that thing cruising around at 60 to 70 mph. Tabb and I flew one of my helicopters at Crandon International Speedway with a center mount camera mount underneath the mainshaft with his Red One underneath it. The machine was as smooth as glass and that camera is 11 pounds. Everything was hard mounted. That 300 kv Xera earned it's keep that day while working it's arse off.
I am really looking forward to the list of information!!! Any NEWS?
