    Hi Dave, have not watched all the video but would you mind posting the links to the amazon supply parts for spacing the camera plate higher?

    Rather than steel which can become magnetized you might want to consider using stainless bolts. McMaster has then in nearly every length you can imagine. Two type of stainless. 18-8 stainless is $7.17 for 25. http://www.mcmaster.com/#catalog/119/3096/=o7wu8z. There's a reason why all of the metal parts on the CS are 18-8 stainless.

    Also you might not need the spacers if you have the dual adjustable tilt bars which allow more up and down adjustment.

    I tried it with the double adjustable plates first and couldn't get enough out of it for me to balance as well as I have been able to with the plates and the spacers. I might have not played with it enough to make it work.
