    Hi

I wanted to share a test video with you, where I recorded a Sony HDR-PJ740VE with a GoPro Camera attached to my Quadcopter.

You see how the Cinestar gimbals works and how stable the footprint finally is.

    Please send me your comments.

    Thank you.

    Hi Martin:
Very smooth footage. What copter are you flying?

I think the camcorder's BOSS does a very good job of keeping the image stable, doesn't it.
Your video goes black at the 2:00 mark -- was there more?

    Andy.

    Thank you Andy
The BOSS together with the Radian creates very good results.

About the video. Thanks for letting me know. I'm currently uploading a corrected version.

The copter has been built by myself. On the below pictures it was still without a camera gimbal.

Nice work. The Haemmerli Mark I Quadcopter!
I also noted the three-bladed props -- what motor are you using to spin those? I can't quite see from the images.
Also, whose ESC's are you using?

    Thanks
    Andy

    Thank you.

    I'm using:

    4 Scorpion S-4025-10 Brushless Outrunner
    4 Master Airscrew propeller 16x10
    4 EP-04-0037 mit 100 HV Opto Controller
    4 Turnigy nano-tech 8000mAh 6S 25~50C Lipo Pac

The total weight with gimbal and Canon 5D Mark III is around 12 kg. So every motor has to lift around 3 kg to hover and uses 30 Ampere to do that.

My helicopter only needs about a quarter of the energy compared to the Quad. So with only 2 Turnigy packs it hovers for 20 minutes.

Because if this I’m currently trying different propellers to find the setup with the lowest energy consumption.
If interested have a look at the pictures I have created this summer.

    Thanks for the information, Martin.
    Excellent panoramas too.
(I used to work in Ferney Voltaire just across the border from Genf, so would often travel to Winterthur. Your images brought back good memories.)

Very impressive quad... do you ever worry about loosing a motor with it and loosing your whole setup? Im my experience if you have even one motor go down your copter crashes...

    Nice work though! Very impressive!

    Thank you Josh

To be honest, yes that worries me. Because of this I have chosen ESC’s that can handle a 100 Ampere and I have also connected 4 lipo packs in parallel. So every cell of the 6 cells is connected with it counterparts of the other 3 packs.
But you’re right, there are multiple things that can go wrong. Luckily I never crash with the Canon Mark III.

The way I fly, Martin, I would add one word: Yet. ;)
