I seem to be getting vibrations from the gimbal and I was wondering if people are taking out o rings depending on weight or what. I am pretty sure it is the vibration isolation causing it. Ideas? Thanks!

I have used a cheap s95 and a Nikon d4. Both unusable footage but not sure where to begin to fix it.

Can you post a clip, that would be most helpful. When running a heavy camera like the FS100 or the 5D I am running all the o-tings but remove some for lighter cameras. You should be getting clean footage even with all O-rings installed. Usually if the damping is too stiff it will show up as a slight jello effect not a vibration.

    Footage will help in diagnosing.

The multi upper half seems stable but the gimbal is not. Using a Nikon d4 and hoverfly gimbal controller with the signal boosters. Not sure if my yaw servo is bad and won't hold the pan from moving a bit while flying or if it is the gimbal controller. I'm dealing with hoverfly right now about that. I'm gonna go out and to a test flight again in about 20 minutes and I'll turn off auto compensation and see what the movement looks like when the gimbal is stationary. I think that should tell me if it is gimbal unstable or if it's the gimbal controller causing it.

Also, the D4 has a 50mm 1.8 at the moment on it...Im assuming everything will have to be tuned and setup near perfect to get good footage with a 50mm...something in the 14-16mm would be better?

Just did a test with the gimbal stab off. Still shaky but not quite as bad. Also, I plugged the yaw directly into my rx and the servo is not holding the pan. It's like the servo isn't strong enough to hold position and the camera will be facing to the side when I come back to land after flying around.

Someone, anyone...this is driving me insane. I was able to get better results with my crap 150$ gimbal and go pro on my old f450 and f550. :(

Please balance the camera on the gimbal, turn the gimbal 100% off (no power to it) and do a flight. You have a lot of variables changing at once presently and it is easiest to work through the system on piece at a time

Also what props, flight control, etc are you running, this can have a big effect on stability

    Thx

I switched where i mounted my gimbal controller and that helped a little bit. I will rebalance my gimbal assembly and the camera tonight and try tomorrow. Im using the apc 14x4.7 props, wkm, 6s10,000mah, Tiger Motor MT3515-400kv, Castle Ice 50's, hoverfly gimbal board with signal boosters. I think running 12khz, should i change that to 16?
