    Hi all,

Just wondering how people are attaching external microphones to Android phones that have the TRRS socket at the top of the phone (to the left as it's mounted in the MCR). I'm using a Google Pixel 1.

I have the top hat attachment and originally tried a Boya mic, but the TRS - TRRS cable I had wasnt quite long enough, so I went with the Rode VideoMicMe as an alternative. The issue with that is that the tip of the microphone can just be seen in the shot - not ideal.

So how are you guys and girls getting an external mic to work?

    Regards,
    Jim
