Hey there! Friend of mine have big issue with his movi XL. Not booting at all what ever we tested, reset, firmware… not issu last time using it! Fault are : roll orientation fail Tilt joint offset : 174,5deg Fail thanks in advance
First thing: Make sure the Roll Beam isn't upside down. There's a sign on it that says "This Side Down", and that should point toward the ground. It can cause a similar fault.
You can have a similar Error\Boot Failure if the cable has come loose underneath the Tilt Stage. That requires you to take the screws out of the bottom of the Movi XL (the part of the cage below where the camera sits), and remove that cover plate carefully. Make sure you have disconnected the batteries. There's a little plug in there where the cable comes in, and that sometimes can get unplugged over time. Be careful not to short out or pinch any wires or anything when doing this. I think this is what that error page looks like when the cable has come loose:
