    Hi Guys,

I just finished upgrading my 2 axis gimbal to a 3 axis one and have one last thing to do to get my CS8 to working. I tried to plug to wire for my trigger cord into aux to on the tilt radian. And configured my receiver to the switch I'm going to use for triggering my camera. When I switch the switch in the Radian usb software it is working when I flip the switch and shows the switch actuating but the camera does not respond. I do note that the blue led on the trigger cable is blue all the time. I think it's only suppose to be on when the switch is flipped. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Josh is right. The first one is designed to work with a transistor switch -- just as the output from the Extension PCB.
The second is designed to be driven by the pulse width modulation you find on an RC channel.

    Hope this helps
    Andy.

yes it's the one with the red JST connector on it. So I need to other one. what about the canon connector do I just take off the connector of the one I have and solder it onto the other RC-Shutter-Swithc?

If you want a second suggestion... :D
I'm using this with my Radian + 5D
    http://www.quadrocopter.com/LED-liveVIEW-Cable-for-Canon_p_447.html
Pros: Compatible with many Canon cameras doesn't matter the connector.
You don't need to open the side door of the camera, so less dirty on the exposed connectors.
    Cons: Expensive
Has a 0.5 - 1s delay between the radio command and the real trigger. They say this is to avoid false triggers but sometimes its annoying.

    Good Luck

Thanks for all you folks for helping me out. I installed the new cable and all works well. I do have a slight issue in that sometimes when I activate the trigger it likes to stay in continuous mode even though I have set it up to only trigger the shutter when I want it to. but It must have something to do with the way I'm depressing the switch. Oh well another small thing to figure out. At least I can remotely trigger my 5d now. Thanks again for all your help
