    Hi Everyone

I have been trying to resolve the following phenomenon but without success. Maybe someone can help.

In single aerial operation (X8 Octo, non Freefly system) when I fly fast forward the copter's nose is pointing down forward (which is logical). This forces the gimbal to tilt down too although I want the gimbal to stay locked in position.
When I stop or ceased the speed and the copter's nose is back in horizontal position, the gimbal is still pointing down. In single operation this makes it quite challenging because you constantly have to correct the tilt position of the gimbal. I am not sure if there is a magic setting that makes the gimbal lock in position at all times.

My settings are, handheld, smooth lock. I tried tilt smooth / window with all kind of parameter combinations from 0-100 but nothing helps. As soon as the copter points down, the gimbal tilts too.

    Any hints will be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Thai

Thai please post your settings. If you are in smooth lock/Majestic setting while hand holding does it do the same thing when you tilt the handles forward and back? It should stay 'locked' in whatever angle you have set the camera. Example, with the MoVI powered up, you manually tilt the camera 45 degrees down. Now tilting the handles back and forth the camera should stay 45 degrees down regardless of the position of the handles.

    Hi Gary,
I am out right now. Will check my settings when I am back.
Yep, already tried on ground with the handle bar. Gimbal reacts the same.
E.g. when I power up gimbal and put it at 0 level (horizontal), when I move the handle forward the gimbal tilts down to maybe 45, not staying at 0.
When I move the handle back gimbal stays at 45.
I want gimbal to stay at 0.

Sounds like one of the settings is incorrect or a ticket to support.

    settings:
    Majestic config
    pan smoothing 12
    pan window 2
    tilt mode smooth lock
    tilt smoothing 5
    tilt window 90

    general
    gimbal application handheld
    roll/pan 0
    max tilt 10
    min tilt -85

    does it ring any bells?

Oh I just noticed in the software, on the left column GPS is on NO LOCK and Position NO LOCK. Is that the reason?

    Gary,
So you are saying that you don't face the problem I have? Yours stays at 0 if you move the handle forward and backward?

Stayed at 0 or whatever angle I put the camera at manually. I don't think GPS/Position lock should affect the tilt.

Gary, could you please specify "I put the camera at manually"?
Did you check my settings? Anything that pop up causing the issue?

By pointing manually, while the MoVI is powered up you grab hold of the camera and tilt it to the tilt angle that you want. Won't be able to look further until tonight or tomorrow.
