I've got three flashing lights, tried resetting, checking connections. Just seems to have stopped working.
The manual refers to a wiring diagram in the manual but I can't find it and can't see it in the other PDFs.
Brett did you resolve this? When you are powered up can you connect your Android or whatever you are using for tuning to the MōVI and try doing a reset to defaults? Is the unit in the stand when you are doing the initial power up?
No I have still not resolved it, I logged a ticket. I've tried resetting it, returning it to defaults, and factory settings. On the Mac. I've got it on the stand in the correct orientation. It's weird because I didn't do anything new except power up the RC controller for the first time since it stopped working. It's been working fine before that. I love it! Is there any difference between using Mac and Android, because I have both.
Brett. Please make sure when you boot up the system {power up} the unit says as still as possible. Try rebooting a few times. cheers mike
Thanks mike I just tried it again, it's quite still. When I reboot controller it goes solid for a while then goes to a slower flashing (about 3 a second) where it was doing 8 a second before. Then I have to turnoff and on to get Bluetooth to connect. I think it might have started from turning it on 180 degrees off alignment.
Brett, Please check the folowing: There are 2 cables plugged into each motor. Check they are plugged in and fully seated. There is a cable running to the IMU under the camera mounting plate. Confirm this is plugged in and fully seated. Confirm Battery is charged I will keep trying to think of more troubleshooting help. Tabb
Thanks Tabb. I checked the wires in the motors, the IMU - all solidly plugged in Here's a video of init http://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=...ch?v=7RffvGuSsI0&feature=youtube_gdata_player
Brett, Can you do the following: 1. Connect via bluetooth 2. IMU reboot Via the GUI 3. Watch the 'terminal' screen upon reboot and see what it says? Thanks Tabb
Curious if you got this resolved. I'm on a commercial Tuesday and would love to know how this is fixed if it ever happens to me.
Hi Jonathan, I am waiting to hear back from Brett again but I think he got it resolved and it was an encoder wire that was loose / slightly unplugged. Hopefully he chimes in here so we can all sleep easy tonight! Tabb
Tabb, Might be a good idea to have a diagram drawn up or even just a short video to show where all the electrical connections are the need to be inspected.
Embarrassingly enough I didn't check the connectors properly, and didn't push hard enough to re-seat the tilt encoder - it takes a decent amount of pressure. Behind the scenes Tabb was working hard to make sure I had all the info and support I needed: he recorded two videos to show me reconnection and checking the terminal for detailed readout of the boot process, and he got on the phone to reassure me that he would do what he could to help. He even checked in before he went to sleep! Amazing customer service. Thank you Tabb. I had an amazing time with the M10 and will post about it when I have had some sleep. It's 3am here now. Suffice to say it worked and worked well -- at around 11 pounds. And I had so much fun with it. Everyone was so happy and impressed with how it looked.
