    For sporty flying it’s fine. I prefer the redundancy of an octo. No matter how good a quad is, if it loses one motor, ESC, or prop, it’s dead. I’ve lost a motor in my octo (a brushless controller, actually) over the ocean. No big deal. Had I not had the telemetry tell me so, I would have been completely unaware of the situation. I flew it back 100-200 meters and landed it as though nothing was wrong, which was really weird with one prop stopped.

    Nope, you couldn't pay me to fly it.
