Hi guys, I upgraded to the Spektrum DX18 radio as I need more channels. I was using a DX8 which will control my gimbal now. I have a question regarding satellites locations. There is no relevant information on the manual. However, I was reading about the importance of not blocking each satellite and such. Attached you will find my current locations since I can't seem to find a way (without stripping and making the wire longer) to separate the two as much as possible. Do you think I would have a problem if I leave them as shown? Thank you for your input!
I suggest to put one satellite on the opposite boom. Is a diversity receiver so by placing them opposite to each other is better Bill
I used something like that in the past. http://www.quadrocopter.com/Diversity-Controller-for-Spektrum-and-Jeti_p_344.html So with your receiver you can have 8 satellites. one on every boom and you never lose the signal. I mounted one satellite on every other boom with long wires. Cheers
Any thoughts about something like this for redundancy? http://www.spektrumrc.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdId=SPMAR9300
