Hi Guys, Thinks have been going well with the MoVi M10 over here. We have been on back-to-back jobs since receiving the unit back in October. However, I am in desperate need for spare parts and the reseller over here in the UK has been sitting on my list for the past couple of months without even a whisper. I am after the following: Spare Allen Key Screws of all sizes (these ones are slowly getting threaded) A replacement Blue handled Allen Key. (the brass hex key section just turns in the handle even with the securing hex key screw tightly in place) I desperately need another monitor holder for the top bar as well. And, that's it at the minute... but these are massively urgent due to the regularity of use. Thanks, Marcus
Check freeflysystems.myshopify.com they have the accessories you're after. If you take apart your blue handle you will find a flattened section of the rod where the screw needs to impress when it's screwed down. Mine slipped from this position and turned in place. You don't have to tighten it very hard if you do this right.
Thanks for your prompt reply Brett. How long is delivery time to the UK at the minute? Also, What screw size are the ones in the bracket at the rear of the unit (Pan Knuckle) Qty 8 - M3x45 Socket Head Screws Qty 8 - M3x40 Socket Head Screws Qty 8 - M3x37 Socket Head Screws Qty 8 - M3x8 Socket Head Screws Qty 10 - M3x8 Button Head Screws Basically, which one relates? Thanks
I haven't worked that out yet Marcus but FF don't sell them separately anyway so best just to order the repair kit. If it's in stock it's going right away (unless it's Friday and past shipping time). You can check with Fedex what the shipping times are, but I would guess within a week to the UK disclaimer: I am just some guy and don't really know
One added bit of info, and you may already know this, but there is a flat portion to the driver that the set screw is supposed to tighten against. If you were not tightening against that flat portion, then it can still spin with a mild amount of torque.
You can get pretty much any screw, bolt nut you require from: http://www.modelfixings.co.uk The spare allen key is a standard size and you can get these from any good model shops. Check out these for high quality versions (EDS ones in particular): http://www.wheelspinmodels.co.uk/c/151/
For folks in the USA: www.boltdepot.com www.fastener-express.com (note hyphen). I'm sure there are others, but these guys tend to have the longer M3 screws (as they are called in the USA). Andy.
