    Similar to the FS series, I'm sure the handles and eye piece are detachable.

    Looks good and has optical steady shot stabilization in G glass but 2700 grams is heavier than a standard CS8 can handle (IMO). My Canon 7D 20mm lens weighs in at 1150 grams. 5DMKIII is very similar in weight. I wouldn't say its on the borderline of being too much but I can't see it taking another 800 grams yet alone another 1600 grams. I think it will be too much current for the stock BL's. If you could run a 6S battery I would say it would have a good chance but not on a 4S or 5S battery. I think this requires a heavy lift combo.

    I would agree with you Dave, its one heavy camera!

    If the top handle is removable, and it is on many Sony camera's, the weight would likely drop significantly.

    Not sure how you can remove the top handle as the LED is connected to it???
