A magnificently beautiful day where I live in Northern California. Launched the Cinestar 8 with 2-axis gimbal and my GH3. Altitude was about 90-100m AGL.

Shot these on time-lapse mode (2 seconds) with aperture priority (ƒ5.6) and ISO 125. Most exposures were in the 1/500 range. I also had the 12-35 lens zoomed all the way to 35mm (70mm FF equivalent) for a little more reach. These just have a little contrast and exposure adjustment, and are otherwise unedited.

Here's one, and there are a couple more on my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.357417094390250.1073741835.212669905531637&type=1

Nice shot. How do you get FPV when doing stills? Or can the GH3 take stills will providing a live video feed?

I tried doing 3 second time lapse on a 5D Mark II with Magic Lantern and it was touch to fly FPV and frame a shot when the video feed kept going black due to the camera shutter closing.

Use a remote shutter to control the camera, then line up the shot and press the switch, the screen will still go dark but only for a split second and you control when it does. That's how I do my stils

I tried using the live feed from the GH3's HDMI output, but I discovered a weird bug: with HDMI active, the only resolution you can shoot with stills is 16:9. Neither 3:2 or 4:3 (native) work. So I'm not using live feed for stills.
