Hey Guys, I have/had a big shoot in San Francisco, a section of street is going to be closed off and people are going to slip n slide down the street. The street is completely closed off, police barricades, all that stuff. No public people will be in the street. Does anyone know if it's possible to get a permit for that type of shoot. The producer told me it's not looking likely. Just checking. Thanks!
Steve Maller's the guy to talk to. You might want to start a Conversation with him as that's private. Andy.
There was a drift car video that was shot in the last year or so. Lot of copter work in that one. Shot all over the city. Even had a sequence where they drifted it around a moving cable car. http://www.wimp.com/driftingthrough/
Right. Just like the folks around the Moscone Center thought when they saw a Cinestar above them, right? ANdy.
Could do what I do over here.. get a general purpose filming permit and just act like you own the place. Esp if you have local PD closing streets and on crowd control. P.S. say aloha to Devin for me!
Guess it would also help to wear a hard-hat, a high-viz vest, carry a clipboard, a two-way radio, and have a press badge. Andy.
Hah, exactly. I am actually becoming CAA certified in New Zealand in the hopes it might mean something one day. I guess we'll see whenever the FAA decides to figure everything out.
